Synopsis
The end of the Edo Era has arrived, a prosperous age where chic city-dwellers, samurai, and old-fashioned farmers live side by side in peace. Look a bit more closely, though, and their everyday reality turns out to be a parallel dimension filled with modern amenities like cell phones, microwaves, motorcycles, and subways. Step inside a nightclub, and the young crowd grooves to booming trance beats—yet they dress in kimono, candlelight flickers in the gloom, and the dance floor consists of tatami mats. The people carry the styles and customs of the Edo Era, but they inhabit a curious realm where past and present overlap. Welcome to the Yoshimune world, a place never seen before.
