Continues the story of Aggretsuko (ONA)
In many office environments, typical scenarios unfold: a sexist boss who shirks responsibility, colleagues obsessed with gaining favor, individuals with apparently flawless lives, and those burdened with the actual workload. Retsuko, a red panda, falls into this latter group, frequently staying late to complete tasks neglected by her indifferent coworkers. To cope with her daily pressures, Retsuko finds solace in singing death metal at a nearby karaoke venue. Each evening, she vents her frustrations through the microphone, turning the place into her sanctuary. As she ventures outside her comfort zone and beyond what others expect of her, Retsuko discovers that sharing her passion for death metal with others could be beneficial.
In this installment
Red panda Retsuko, who usually vents her pent-up stress from work by belting out death metal, has discovered a fresh fixation: chasing likes on her Instagram posts. Convinced that social media engagement lifts her spirits, Retsuko grows more and more desperate for approval as Christmas draws near. This craving for validation drives her to constantly polish and exaggerate her everyday routine, projecting a perfected version of herself across the internet.
