Synopsis

Continues the story of RIN-NE

In Rinne Rokudou's world, guiding spirits to the afterlife takes priority over showing up for high school, leaving him perpetually broke for everyday items like food, clothing, and exorcism tools. Sakura Mamiya has been able to see ghosts since childhood, a power she hoped would fade away. But even in high school, the ability remains. When the often-absent Rinne finally comes to class, only Sakura can see him, making her assume he is a ghost. Her confusion grows when Rinne appears completely normal the next day. The series Kyoukai no Rinne follows Sakura as she learns about Rinne's true nature and the hidden spirit world that exists alongside everyday life.

In the follow-up to RIN-NE, high school student Sakura Mamiya and the perpetually unlucky Shinigami Rinne Rokudou continue dealing with supernatural troubles. Caught up in the strange predicaments involving their colorful circle of friends, they find themselves drawn into yet another series of conflicts. Ageha's cat companion Oboro holds a grudge over what he sees as unfair treatment and insists that Ageha break their contract. When Ageha refuses, a heated argument breaks out. Meanwhile, the deceitful Damashigami Corporation keeps carrying out its shady activities, and the bat-like demon Masato remains determined to execute his hidden schemes to finally get his long-awaited revenge on Rinne. As always, Sakura and Rinne face an endless stream of paranormal complications. Through these challenges, they also struggle with their own personal issues, handling each bizarre situation as it comes along.
