Synopsis

Continues the story of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Ajisai Yumegatari

Within the land of Kyou, Akane discovers that she is the Ryuujin no Miko and encounters the Hachiyou, guardians who are meant to protect her. Together, they must join forces to stop Akuram, a demon whose plan involves using Azusa—an individual capable of siphoning human energy—to annihilate Kyou. If Akane and the Hachiyou cannot defeat Akuram and restore peace to the realm, Azusa's abilities will bring about the end of all humanity.

The follow-up to Harukanaru Toki no Naka de takes place a century later than the original tale, but reveals that although a hundred years have passed in the modern world, only a brief interval has elapsed in the historical realm. Kyou, a city reminiscent of Heian-period Kyoto, has fallen into turmoil because of a conflict between the sitting emperor and the former emperor. As the citizens are overwhelmed by dread and hopelessness due to apocalyptic omens, Karin is inexplicably transported to Kyou by the White Dragon. Designated as the new priestess, she is compelled to battle evil with her protectors, all while being haunted by intense visions of an unknown man.
