Synopsis

In the mid-21st century, Tokyo's underworld is controlled by Demon Lords—crime bosses who gained immense power through ether enhancement surgery. Heroes, bounty hunters who boost their abilities with the drug E3 (E-Three), are the only ones who can stand against these formidable foes. Since killing targets is legally allowed in this profession, being a Hero is more about survival than upholding justice. Yashiro, known as the Reaper, is a lone Hero who works by himself. His life changes when Jougamine, a headstrong high school girl who calls herself his "apprentice," insists on joining him. Despite his doubts, Yashiro agrees to train her, soon finding himself caught in increasingly dangerous battles.
