The Eccentric Family

Synopsis

In Kyoto, the tanuki and tengu have coexisted with unaware humans for centuries. Yasaburou Shimogamo, the third son of a distinguished tanuki family, spends his carefree days looking after an old tengu, using his shape-shifting abilities to observe people, and interacting with the enigmatic Benten. But beneath this tranquil life lies a grim past: Yasaburou's father, once the leader of the tanuki community, was captured and devoured by a human group called the Friday Fellows. Uchouten Kazoku follows the Shimogamo brothers as they try to avoid meeting the same end while gradually uncovering the truths behind their father's death.
