In "Great King of the Tomb: Secrets of the Qilin," Murong Xian seizes control by killing his father, aligns himself with corrupt officials, and sows internal discord and espionage, casting Tomb King City into shadow. The hidden riches of the Kunlun Mountain graves draw the attention of Tomb King City, the Imperial Arrest Bureau, and various tomb-raiding factions. To preserve the sects' honor and protect the treasure, Luo Shiqiu, heir of the Luo family, and the gifted Lou Manfeng are assigned to retrieve the key to the Gu Zi Tomb, called the Tomb-Breaking Token. Tomb King City sends its young lord alongside a squad of elite experts to set up elaborate snares inside the Gu Zi Tomb. Lou Manfeng, acting as a double agent, shields Luo Shiqiu while training the Qilin Arm to open the tomb. He also capitalizes on the feuds within Tomb King City, persuading the formidable Poison Bone Hand master Han Qianluo to ally with him, outsmarting Lin Shuiyao, daughter of Mo Gong City's leader, foiling the demon Ling Mo from Sound Demon Island, and mysteriously defeating the seven supreme tomb guardians in a fierce clash at the Spirit Tower. When Luo Shiqiu and the Qilin Young Master confront each other, both end up with their Qilin Arms broken. At this critical moment, Lou Manfeng, armed with sensitive intelligence, steps in to seize the Tomb-Breaking Token. Enraged, the tomb guardians retaliate, but Han Qianluo sacrifices himself, taking a lethal blow meant for Lou Manfeng.

The imperial court stepped in, and a shadowy rival group surfaced, worsening the upheaval and instability that spread across the world of the Tomb Sect.
