Choju Jinbutsu Giga

Synopsis

Studio Ghibli created an animated version of the classic Japanese artwork Choujuu-Jinbutsu-Giga Emaki, often called Choujuu Giga, for a Marubeni Power commercial. The advertisement, titled "Encounter," is designed to advertise Plan G, a new electricity offering from Marubeni Power as Japan's energy market undergoes liberalization. Plan G draws on both "Ghibli" and "green" to highlight its dedication to environmental responsibility. The plan promises to support the national trust for "Totoro's Forest," provide electricity to the Ghibli Museum, and promote multiple conservation initiatives.
