Synopsis
On Tellus, a partially charted world settled by immigrant pioneers and regularly rocked by quakes caused by terraforming machines—dubbed the "Stampedes"—a gifted young racer named Shiro ends up with critical injuries while pursuing the infamous "Loser King" alongside his longtime rival Goodspeed. As he lies dying, a mysterious woman who calls herself Tomoe appears at his bedside, offering him a second chance at life in exchange for taking part in the Planet Re-Development Race, an annual competition that draws fearless thrill-seekers from across the world, lured not only by the massive prize money but also by the opportunity to venture into the planet's uncharted regions. Note: An unfinished pilot edition was shown at the 2009 Sapporo International Film Festival, and a preview of the completed pilot was screened on November 27, 2010. It was released on Blu-Ray and DVD on January 28, 2011.
