Synopsis
In the high-security prison Nanba, which is specifically built to hold escape artists who are too clever for ordinary facilities, Cell 13 houses four notorious inmates. Juugo is an expert locksmith who has spent most of his life behind bars, Uno is a gambler who relies on instinct, Nico is an otaku whose body reacts unpredictably to various substances, and Rock is a heavy eater and a strong fighter. Together, they continue their mischievous antics, much to the annoyance of the dedicated building supervisor, Hajime Sugoroku, who works tirelessly to keep them under control. The story follows the humorous and dazzling adventures of these inmates and their guards, set against a backdrop of daily routines like three meals a day and special events such as sports festivals. Even though they are confined, the conditions at Nanba are tolerable enough that for these four, it almost feels like home.
