Synopsis
In 2015, the Chaldea Security Organization assembles experts from both magical and non-magical backgrounds to monitor potential events that could lead to humanity's extinction. Over the next hundred years, human survival appears secure—until suddenly, in late 2016, the prediction shifts toward certain doom. The reason for this change is unclear, though it seems linked to the Japanese city of Fuyuki and the Fifth Holy Grail War in 2004. To counter this threat, Chaldea deploys an experimental time travel technique called Rayshift technology. With this, Ritsuka Fujimaru, a newly enlisted young man, and the mysterious girl Mash Kyrielight, embark on a mission to travel back to 2004. Their goal is to uncover the secrets that will save humanity. A grand order to challenge fate has been given—an order to alter the past and restore the future.
