Synopsis

In a mythical realm, spirits work to maintain balance in the human world. Chun, a young spirit, undergoes her coming-of-age ritual by traveling to the human world, where she saves a boy from drowning during a storm. Overwhelmed with guilt after the boy dies, she makes an agreement with the Soul Keeper to revive him, giving up part of her own life in exchange. This action disrupts the natural order and leads to severe repercussions. "Big Fish & Begonia" explores themes of sacrifice and redemption as Chun faces the limits of her abilities, grappling with mortality, love, and complex feelings. She must choose between risking everything to save the human boy or fulfilling her duty to preserve the world's harmony.
