Giant Beasts of Ars

Synopsis

In the world of Ars, humanity is locked in an ongoing struggle against enormous beasts that devastate the land and deplete its resources. Those who fight these creatures are known as Paladins, warriors who harness the volatile magic of Clerics—individuals gifted with powerful yet unpredictable magical abilities. Jiiro, a former Paladin mourning the loss of his wartime companion, meets Kuumi, a young woman whose magical powers have only recently manifested. After they form an agreement to defend a city from an attack by a giant beast, Jiiro discovers that Kuumi has escaped from a laboratory and is being pursued by agents working for Mezami, the head of the research center. Despite his hesitation, Jiiro chooses to help Kuumi avoid her pursuers, setting out on a journey with his new ally and her companion Myaa, a young girl who wears a cat headdress. As this unusual group travels across the realms of Ars, influential figures begin putting their hidden schemes into motion, revealing that sometimes, human enemies can be even more dangerous than the monstrous threats.
