After being rescued from a river during childhood, Chidori holds a strong wish to repay the one who saved her. Although she appears sweet and harmless, Chidori is actually a highly trained ninja. Years later, she and her friend Sukezou enter the service of the same person who saved her life—the ambitious warlord Nobunaga Oda. As Nobunaga fights against invading forces and plans to conquer nearby territories, Chidori undertakes crucial missions including espionage and eliminating key enemies. Through these vital tasks and lively interactions with the colorful members of Nobunaga's household, the young ninja devotes herself entirely to leading her master to victory and renown.
