Synopsis

Continues the story of Penetrate Blue: Vapor Trail Another Age 2824

Set in the Vapor Trail universe, this 2022 independently produced sci-fi mecha short from studio AsH depicts a future where humanity, after being defeated in a war against the machine-borne 'Machine Intelligence' it had refused to coexist with, was forced to live underground in shelters. In the discarded zone, Tenshu Mikoto, an engineer girl who pilots the security Organoid Cradle-F/V-10 Hornet-C, barely makes a living by salvaging and repairing machines alongside her partner Noriko, both of whom are outcast 'Outers'.

In this installment

The series unfolds in the year 2006, following Akio Hoshigami, a girl forced to abandon her aspirations of becoming a track-and-field athlete because of a leg injury. Together with her close friend Ayano Umisoe, Akio transitions into high school. Engaging in fresh activities and forming new connections, Akio slowly begins to get back to her former self. However, one day, Ayano suddenly goes missing.
