Synopsis

On Christmas Eve, a four-year-old girl named Miri Unasaka arrives in Tokyo alone, searching for her father. She is drawn to a large hotel by festive decorations and a man with an appealing cake, unaware that she has wandered into a carefully planned assassination attempt targeting a notorious mafia boss. Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, two hitmen living together to escape painful childhood memories and keep emotional distance from others, unexpectedly end up with Miri after their mission goes wrong. They initially intend to return her to her mother, but Miri's cheerful presence and innocent perspective gradually soften Kazuki's heart, and he begins to enjoy his role as a father figure. Soon, even the reserved Rei starts to open up to her. Raising the unpredictable and energetic Miri proves more challenging than any assignment they have faced. Despite the risks to their careers, both Kazuki and Rei, affectionately called "papa" by Miri, decide to provide her with a normal upbringing despite the many obstacles.
