Synopsis

In "Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time," Rumi Yokoi tries to pay attention during class, but she finds it hard to ignore her neighbor, Toshinari Seki. Seki has no interest in the lessons, instead engaging in elaborate pastimes like setting up an intricate domino chain on his desk or staging dramatic battles with shogi pieces. Despite her attempts to concentrate, Yokoi often gets drawn into Seki's captivating distractions, which frequently result in her being scolded by the teacher. Still, Seki's playful diversions guarantee that each school day is far from boring.
