Synopsis
It is 1941. Eleven-year-old Murakami Wataru resides with his family, who are Japanese textile merchants working in British Kenya. As conflict erupts between Japan and the Allied forces, Wataru escapes into the wilderness and finds himself swept into a sequence of extraordinary adventures.
