Synopsis
In Gungrave, Brandon Heat and Harry MacDowel are inseparable friends living carefree lives filled with petty fights, chasing girls, and occasional thefts. Their idyllic existence is shattered when they encounter the brutal reality of their world. This awakening leads them into the clutches of Millennion, the most infamous mafia organization in the area, where they begin their journey at the lowest rung. Harry harbors ambitions of ascending to the top position in Millennion, aiming to replace Big Daddy, the syndicate’s chief. Meanwhile, Brandon’s primary goal is to aid Harry and win favor with Big Daddy, who holds the heart of the woman Brandon adores. Drawing inspiration from a third-person shooter video game, Gungrave unfolds as a compelling narrative of camaraderie, treachery, and ambition over a span of several years. The series loops back to its tense opening episode, steadily building up to a climactic conclusion.
