Passage of Time: Tokyo Station
Toki wa Meguru: Tokyo Station
時季(とき)は巡る~TOKYO STATION~
Synopsis
Misaki is a 29-year-old woman who is about to get married. One day, she discovers an old pocket watch that had belonged to her late father. Unfortunately, it was broken and wouldn't run. She learns that the watch originally came from her grandfather, who had given it to her father. Both of them had worked at Tokyo Station. Her father had always been strict and harsh, especially toward her, and that was the only memory she had of him. She regrets that they never managed to connect, since she could barely communicate with him during her teenage years. Hoping to have this meaningful watch repaired, Misaki visits Tokyo Station, but the repair shop is already gone. She drops her shoulders and walks along the platform. Suddenly, she spots a station employee who looks exactly like her father. Without even thinking, she runs and follows this person.
Background
Toki wa Meguru was created in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Tokyo Station. The goal of the short anime is to show the history of the station through animation and music.
