Synopsis

SEKISHOKU Elegy, a legendary masterpiece of love comics, moved baby-boomers to tears with its portrayal of the heartbreaking sorrow of cohabitation, symbolizing young Japanese couples in the 1970s. Renowned painter Seiichi Hayashi, famous for his work on Koume Chan candies and Sendai's celebrated confectionery Hagi No Tsuki, serves as the original writer, director, and animation artist. Hayashi reunites with folk singer Morio Agata for the first time in over three decades; Agata previously achieved massive success with a song based on the comic. Through these new renditions, SEKISHOKU Elegy is revitalized as a Ganime production.
