Synopsis

By the year 3029, humanity has pushed far beyond its old limits. National borders have faded into history, and Earth is a single, unified civilization under the banner of the Federation. Then, without warning, an immense sword descends from the skies and strikes straight through the sun—a moment of awe and terror for the people of Earth. The blade's scabbard, already old and worn, disintegrates upon contact with the sun, scattering fragments of the sword into the far reaches of the universe. Many of these shards find their way to Earth. These otherworldly remains become the source of a brand-new power source: Spirit Qi. Just as air currents vary across the globe, so does the density of this mysterious energy. As the Federation and various rival groups gather more shards, they unlock previously unknown knowledge—refining techniques, pill-making formulas, and methods of carving Spirit Stones. The language etched into the shards is cryptic and archaic, sparking a new vogue for reciting ancient scripts. Spirit Qi changes everything. It instantly makes old energy supplies outdated, and no facet of modern life is left untouched. The Spirit Internet is born, and civilization begins evolving along a brand-new line—ushering what the history books will one day call the Spirit Inception Era.
