Synopsis
Despite many years having elapsed since her high school days, Tamami Sakurai remains burdened by clumsiness and social anxiety. Seeking an escape from the pressures of her demanding job, she often visits a neighborhood bar in Tokyo late at night. While alcohol gives her a fleeting sense of invincibility, the morning-after hangovers are a brutal reminder of reality. One evening, everything shifts when she recognizes a familiar song playing on the bar's record player. The melody awakens memories of her past and Rin Kajitani, a reserved pianist who was once her dearest friend.

Modern Love Tokyo: Kare ga Kanaderu Futari no Shirabe was released as part of Amazon Studios' Modern Love Tokyo anthology series. It is the only animated episode featured in the live-action series.
