In the fiercely competitive world of horse racing, the horse girls of Team Spica continue to climb in prominence through a series of wins. Among them, Toukai Teiou stands out for her radiant personality and exceptional racing talent. Her dream is to become an undefeated Triple Crown champion by securing three straight G1 victories, a milestone not achieved since the era of the legendary Symboli Rudolf. As she pursues this bold ambition, Teiou must overcome a variety of hurdles and face both old and new rivals. Amid these intense competitions, she also encounters key decisions that will greatly shape her path forward in the sport.

In the animated series Umamusume: Pretty Derby Season 3, horse girls Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond look up to their peer, Toukai Teiou, and aspire to achieve her level of success. They enroll at Tracen Academy, an institution that trains horse girls for high-stakes races. Kitasan Black joins Team Spica, the same team as Teiou. After starting with an undefeated streak, she suffers her first loss in a Grade 1 (G1) race, the highest tier of competition. Unfazed by this setback, she remains focused on reaching her full potential. Meanwhile, Satono Diamond comes from a lineage of fast horse girls that have never won a G1 race. Her aim is to break this pattern and bring pride to her family.
