The discovery of cybernetic prosthetics on Mercury has ushered in an era of enormous, pilotable robots. Yet, the widespread use of this bioengineering breakthrough comes at a heavy cost to the operators' health. As Mercury's mobile suits grow more powerful, anxiety among Earth's population escalates. On her daughter Ericht's fourth birthday, pilot Elnora Samaya operates the advanced Gundam Lfrith under the supervision of its creator, Cardo Nabo. Despite being told to keep away, Ericht visits her mother at work, unintentionally causing chaos by forming an extraordinary connection with her mother's mecha.

In this installment

Suletta Mercury arrives at the Asticassia School of Technology following her mother's wishes, bidding farewell to her home planet. At this institution, conflicts are resolved through duels among students, with the highest-ranked duelist earning Miorine Rembran as a spouse, a deal orchestrated by Miorine's father. Upon Guel Jeturk, the school's premier pilot and Miorine's current intended, demanding that his betrothed reside with him, Suletta voices her disagreement, leading Guel to issue a challenge. Despite emerging victorious, Suletta faces suspicion due to her use of a prohibited mobile suit variant—the GUND-ARM, nicknamed "Gundam"—resulting in her win being invalidated. Unable to endure further injustice, Miorine calls out Guel to a rematch with higher stakes. Now, Suletta must triumph once more, or face expulsion along with the destruction of the Gundam Aerial, a machine that carries significant importance for her.

Background

A short novel set before the events of Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo titled Yuri Kago no Hoshi was written by Ichirou Ookouchi and published on the anime's official Japanese website. The novel was used in the production of the opening theme. The Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo - Asticassia School of Technology Radio Committee program hosted by the series' voice actors has streamed on the Onsen internet radio station since October 9, 2022.
