In the modern, verdant city of Kazamatsuri, famous for its lush scenery and deep Japanese traditions, lives Kotarou Tennouji, a high school student who stands out from the crowd. Proud and curious, he constantly seeks amusement, often bothering his self-proclaimed delinquent friend Haruhiko and nursing a crush on the eccentric Kotori. With a unique ability to permanently modify parts of his own body to enhance strength or agility, Kotarou is naturally attracted to the supernatural. He meets Akane Senri, the lone member and president of the Occult Research Club, known as the "Witch," which prompts the club's revival. Together with Kotori, he recruits four others: the clumsy transfer student Chihaya, the strict class representative Lucia, and the quiet Shizuru. As Kotarou investigates the hidden secrets of each club member through their shared experiences, he confronts a fate that may be only his to rewrite.
