Synopsis

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by mysterious beings called the Earless, humanity's champions are the Players—pilots of mecha known as Equipment who fight these monsters while gaining fame and fortune. Echo, a young mechanic obsessed with Players and their Equipment, has built his own makeshift mecha but long accepted a life of poverty among the world's scrap heaps. Everything changes when he finds an amnesiac girl named μ (or "Mu") with a mechanical port on her back—the unmistakable mark of a Player. The two quickly bond and swear to use their abilities to protect the world and defeat the Earless.
