Continues the story of Onihei OVA
This OVA focuses on Heizou, known as "Oni no Heizou" or "Heizou the Demon," a man feared by criminals during the Edo Period. A young man collects accounts of Heizou's early career and his spy network, referred to as "dogs," from the testimonies of his associates Kumehachi, Hikujou, and Omasa. After gathering these narratives, the young man visits Heizou at his home in Mejirodai and gains further insight from Hisae, Heizou's wife. The connection between the young man's mission and Heizou remains a mystery.
In this installment
Heizou Hasegawa, known as the "Devil," wields his blade to defend the peace of Edo. As the chief officer responsible for maintaining law and order while preventing crime and arson, he serves as the region's foremost protector. During the Tenmei period at its peak in 1783, Hasegawa held the position of chief director in the department overseeing local security. Both revered and feared as Devil Heizou, he was dedicated to eliminating the most heinous criminals and thieves of his time.
