Synopsis

It is 1931, and the setting is Shanghai. A full decade before America enters World War II, the seeds sown by the first great global conflict are starting to take root. Like spiders emerging from their eggs, they weave an intricate web of schemes and conspiracies fated to drag entire nations toward the edge of ruin. Caught at the center of this tangled web, desperately trying to separate falsehood from reality, is the Sakurai Kikan—an ultra-secret intelligence agency staffed by exceptionally gifted individuals whose abilities far exceed those of ordinary humans. Their mission: to halt the most sinister plots and eliminate the most dangerous threats. But in a city built on deception, can even a team of clairvoyants, telepaths, and espers stand against the ultimate forces of destiny?
