Tekkon Kinkreet Pilot

Synopsis

Michael Arias of Softimage originally conceived the project as a brief CG experiment, which later caught the attention of Morimoto, leading to their collaboration with the Softimage 3D software. After several months, Visual Director Wilson Tang and Animation Supervisor Lee Fulton presented a pilot to the Softimage team. This pilot was created entirely by a small group of 12 individuals using computer technology. It subsequently received the Excellence Award in the Digital Art category at the 3rd Japan Media Arts Festival.
