Synopsis

Ten years ago, at the height of VRMMO innovation, "Kiwame Quest" was released, promising unmatched realism with an incredible 10 sexdecillion story possibilities. The game aimed to replicate every sense and physical capability with lifelike NPCs, but its excessive realism caused a decline in VRMMO popularity. Now, high school student Hiroshi Yuuki uses full-dive RPGs to escape the aftermath of a past accident. When he can't get the latest update for his usual game, he visits a game shop and meets Reona Kisaragi, an attractive clerk who convinces him to try Kiwame Quest together. On his first playthrough, Hiroshi is amazed by the game's hyper-realistic experience. But his wonder quickly fades as he runs into a series of misfortunes, realizing the game is even tougher than his already difficult life. Despite growing frustration, he keeps logging in. Determined to overcome his bad situation, his only goal becomes finishing the game.
