Synopsis

In the midst of an attack on the human realm by the Demon Queen Echidna, the people look to the Hero Leo Demonheart for salvation. Armed with overwhelming power, Leo quickly drives back Echidna's forces and saves humanity. But instead of gratitude, he faces suspicion from those who fear his strength might one day turn against them. Banished from his homeland, Leo wanders without purpose until he learns that Echidna is rebuilding her army. Seeking a place where he might be accepted, he returns to her castle and offers his services. Though Echidna initially refuses, Leo convinces her four generals to let him work under their supervision in secret. Taking on the identity of a masked dark knight named Onyx, he methodically solves the army's problems, steadily improving life within the castle. Meanwhile, his hidden goal is to uncover the true reason behind Echidna's declaration of war.
