Synopsis
This anime is based on a book of the same name and revolves around the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. It follows a middle school boy who had been raising and training carrier pigeons. While he was outside the city practicing with his birds, the bomb struck. In the resulting chaos, the boy and one of his pigeons each frantically search for their lost family members—the boy's mother and the pigeon's chick.
