Major 2nd 2nd Season
メジャーセカンド
Synopsis
Continues the story of Major 2nd
Daigo Shigeno, the son of legendary baseball player Gorou Shigeno, dreams of becoming a star athlete like his father. Full of determination, he joins the Mifune Dolphins, the same little league team his father once played for, shortly after starting fourth grade. However, after just a few practices, it becomes clear that Daigo lacks natural talent and a deep understanding of baseball, which shakes his confidence. Unable to handle the pressure of living up to his father's legacy, he quits the team within a year. Two years later, in sixth grade, a transfer student named Hikaru arrives in Daigo's class. Hikaru is the son of Toshiya Satou, Gorou's longtime friend and fellow baseball star. When the Dolphins contact Daigo's mother asking for players for an upcoming game, she insists that Daigo participate. Surprisingly, Hikaru also shows up, even though he has never played baseball despite his father's career. Unlike Daigo, Hikaru quickly picks up the sport and excels. Though the two boys are complete opposites, their different approaches to baseball will eventually lead them both into the world their fathers hold dear—the world of baseball.
In this installment
After resolving his inner conflicts, Daigo Shigeno continues playing baseball and takes on the captaincy of the Fuurin Private Academy Middle School team. Alongside his childhood friend Mutsuko Sakura, he sets out to lead the squad to victory. But unexpected circumstances reduce the team to just six members: Daigo, Mutsuko, Yayoi Sawa, Tao Sagara, Seira Kandori, and Hiromu Tanba. With a roster that is mostly female and inexperienced, gaining the trust of new players Akira Nishina, Anita Kabashima, and Chisato Fujii proves difficult. Despite obstacles like having no proper coach, troublesome newcomers, and a shortage of players, Daigo remains determined to unify the team before their first tournament.
