Synopsis

In the dungeon's uncharted depths, a corpse is uncovered—one that has no reason to exist. Iarumas, brought back from the dead with no recollection of his prior life, devotes his time to exploring the dungeon and retrieving the bodies of deceased adventurers. Could they be revived as well? Or will God reduce them to ash upon the altar? Either way, Iarumas claims his finder's fee. Although his abilities earn him some reluctant respect, he is also condemned for this cold, practical mindset. The living keep their distance—Iarumas mainly associates with the dead. That changes when he meets Garbage, a feral young swordswoman who is the only one left from a butchered party. With Garbage beside him, Iarumas presses deeper into the dungeon, seeking clues to his own past while evading monsters, traps, and the ever-present risk of a final, ashen end.
