Continues the story of Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie
In "Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie," Ryu holds the Street Fighter championship and must confront the Dark Hadou—the same power that consumed Akuma, the brother of his master Gouken. Meanwhile, Ryu meets Shun, a young boy who insists he is Ryu's long-lost brother.

Set before the events of Street Fighter Alpha, this anime follows Ryu as he returns to honor his late mentor, yet finds himself plagued by unsettling visions of the one who killed his teacher. Seeking to attain true mastery of the martial arts, Ryu commits himself to refining his fighting prowess and breaking free from the ominous influence of the Dark Hadou. However, the only way to truly prove his newfound strength lies in a final, inevitable showdown with his greatest foe, Gouki. Notably, this anime was made specifically for English-speaking audiences and did not see an official release in Japan until it appeared as a bonus feature on the DVD edition of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
