In the series "Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill," Tsuyoshi Mukouda, an ordinary salaryman, is unexpectedly transported to the Kingdom of Reijseger in an alternate realm, where he is meant to aid in defending the kingdom against its enemies. Despite initial doubts about the royal family's motives, Mukouda cleverly uses his seemingly useless skill, "Online Supermarket," to avoid being forced into combat roles. This ability lets him obtain Japanese food items and cooking tools at minimal cost, items that are considered rare treasures in his new world. Mukouda's cooking skills soon attract the interest of Fel, a legendary mythical wolf, who is captivated by the exquisite meals made with ingredients from his skill. Fel then makes a deal to become Mukouda's familiar, drawn irresistibly by the flavors. Together, they journey across the land, where Mukouda makes a living as both an adventurer and a merchant, all while enjoying sumptuous feasts.

While they share a meal, a tiny and uncommon pixie dragon is drawn to them by the scent of their food. Enchanted by Mukouda's cooking just like Fel and Sui, the dragon decides to become his familiar and takes the name Dora-chan. Mukouda's skills go beyond just preparing food; his familiars' remarkable strength frequently catches the attention of guilds that seek their help on missions. In return, these guilds process the game that Mukouda and his familiars hunt, allowing their growing group to try a wide range of monster meats. As Mukouda continues his travels with his familiars, he constantly creates new, delicious dishes that leave everyone wanting more.
