Synopsis

Continues the story of Bullet Train Transforming Robot Shinkalion The Animation

In the franchise's story, Hayato Hayasugi, a boy who loves trains and is the son of a train museum curator, accidentally discovers his father's secret research lab one day. Inside, he finds the E5 bullet train. As soon as he enters, an announcement declares that a mysterious enemy, the Bachigami ("bee god"), is attacking the city of New Saitama. Fortunately, with the touch of his father's Shinca ("evolve") card, the bullet train he is inside transforms into a mighty robot—the Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa. In the anime's story, Hayato and other children will serve as conductors to pilot the Shinkalion. The children must work together with the adults of the "Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute" (SUEI) to defeat a monster that looks like a jet black bullet train.

In this installment

To protect Japan from the mysterious Giant Monstrous Beings, the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute created the Shinkansen Transformable Robot known as the Shinkalion. With new threats on the horizon, the institute is developing an upgraded model called the Shinkalion Z, as well as special combat-ready trains called Zailiners that shift from ordinary trains to enhance the Shinkalion Z's capabilities. Pilots with high compatibility are selected to operate the Shinkalion Z, partnering with institute staff to face the recently reappeared giant creatures. As unknown enemies emerge, two boys end up encountering each other.
