Synopsis

In a body ravaged by an unhealthy lifestyle, chaos reigns as germs, bacteria, and foreign elements run rampant. The cells responsible for maintaining bodily functions face escalating dangers and difficulties. Amid this turmoil, Red Blood Cell AA2153 and White Blood Cell U-1196, who have grown up in these harsh conditions, continue performing their roles despite the grim reality of many cells perishing in the process. Set against a backdrop distinct from the original narrative, Cells at Work! CODE BLACK! delves into the struggles of these cells as they fight to sustain the body's health. Yet, with the human's condition deteriorating further, the fate of their efforts lies in the hands—or rather, the cilia—of these resilient cells.
