Kaina of the Great Snow Sea

Synopsis

In a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a severe water shortage, the only remaining habitable zones are found at the bases of colossal Orbital Trees scattered across the barren Earth. A legend persists about a sage who can generate abundant water to rescue humanity. Ririha, the princess of Atland, sets out on a journey using an organic hot-air balloon to reach the summit of an Orbital Tree, searching for this savior. When she arrives at the Canopy, a vast expanse that resembles an endless sheet of transparent ice, she encounters Kaina, one of the few surviving males in that area. However, he is not the prophesied hero she was seeking. Left stranded and unable to return on her own, Ririha obtains Kaina's assistance, as he is eager to explore the surface world he believed was empty. As Kaina learns about the conflicts between Ririha's kingdom and the technologically advanced, hostile empire of Valghia, along with other dangers on the surface, he comes to understand that his role as her guide will prove far more challenging than anticipated.
