Synopsis
Set within the Send-Off Department of the Japanese Angel Federation, "Dandelion" focuses on Angels Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane as they work to find and help Earthbound spirits—souls caught between life and death—move on peacefully. Despite the difficulties of their everyday tasks, Tetsuo Tanba and his superior, Misaki Kurogane, who head the Dandelion Clan of the 21st Division, choose to take their time with each case. Rather than hurrying, they commit to understanding each spirit's regrets and resolving the issues that keep them bound to the earth. Their method is put to the test one day when they come across an Earthbound spirit of an elderly man who is fleeing at great speed, desperately trying to escape whatever suffering he faces.
Background
Dandelion adapts a 2002 Hideaki Sorachi one-shot that was included in volume 1 of the Gintama manga.
