Synopsis
In the wake of relentless misfortune, You Keika struggles to break free from poverty by taking on various part-time jobs. One day, after a peculiar encounter with a white-haired individual in a scrap yard, You finds himself awakening as a spirit following a sudden fatal incident. The enigmatic figure he met, Tanmoku Ki, turns out to be the 13th Youmeshi of the Tanmoki clan, renowned as China’s most formidable exorcists. Noticing You’s plight, Tanmoku Ki proposes a deal: he will shield You from human threats if You agrees to act as his spirit shadow, constantly safeguarding him. As they navigate numerous challenges within the spirit realm, their mission evolves into protecting others from perilous spirits. Over time, the initial pact blossoms into a deeper connection. Despite their roles as master and servant, a mutual appreciation gradually emerges between them.
Background
A Japanese dub of the series was produced by Haoliner's Japanese branch Emon. The series aired on television under the title Spiritpact starting on January 7, 2017 at 21:00 JST. Each TV episode was comprised of two ONA episodes with minor aesthetic touch-ups.
