Synopsis
A Black Jack animated short (Tezuka Osamu World, Kyoto Station) narrated by the Phoenix, who presents two linked tales centered on the theme of unwavering love. The first story, "Oba-chan," follows an elderly woman believed to be greedy because she constantly asks her daughter-in-law for money—until Black Jack discovers she has spent decades secretly repaying the enormous debt owed to the doctor who once saved her dying young son, revealing a life devoted to a mother's love. The Phoenix then tells the second story, about the founding of the capital of Heian, a grand national project meant to grant a city eternal life.
