Synopsis

Continues the story of As One

In "As One," the narrative follows You, a modern Japanese high school student with ambitions of becoming a musician. He persists in chasing his goal despite opposition from his family and tensions within his band. One day, while walking through Shibuya, he hears a desperate cry for help, followed instantly by a blinding flash of light. At the same time, in a far-off region of the universe, the celestial body Meguriboshi teeters on the edge of war over a dispute involving the energy source known as Hoshichi, or Star Blood. As peace talks are nearly complete, a vast field of space debris suddenly materializes, creating a grave danger. Laco, a youthful technician, rushes to assist with planetary defense but finds herself in mortal jeopardy. As she loses consciousness, her mind connects with You's, laying the groundwork for their intertwined destiny.

In this installment

A television anime connected to Square Enix's arcade game Starwing Paradox, produced by Sunrise, follows Earth-based pilots who remotely operate giant humanoid mecha in a conflict between two opposing factions on the living planet Maguriboshi. The struggle revolves around "Hoshinochi" (meaning "star blood"), a powerful energy source that the planet exhales as it travels through the cosmos—a prize both sides have battled over for generations.
