Synopsis
In the 15th century, as the Hundred Years' War rages between France and England over the French crown, the story centers on Montmorency, a young nobleman devoted to studying magic and alchemy at a prestigious royal knight academy. After France suffers a devastating loss at the Battle of Agincourt, the academy is forced to close. Now a fugitive with no destination, Montmorency—having become an alchemist—comes across an unusual village girl named Jehanne.
