Synopsis
During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Tang Dynasty, the scholar Tang Ao achieved third place in the imperial examination. However, he was wrongly accused of forming a sworn brotherhood with Xu Jingye, and his title was taken away. Feeling dejected, he accepted an invitation from his brother-in-law, Lin Zhiyang, to join a fleet on a commercial voyage and explore the four seas. They visited countries with distinctive folk customs, including the Land of Gentlemen, the Land of Daughters, the Land of Giants, the Land of Two-Faced People, and others. Throughout their journey, they experienced many exciting and fascinating adventures.
