Episodes of Kamiusagi Rope that played between movie trailers at TOHO Cinemas mainly work as collaborations and advertisements, distinct from the main film series that includes titles like Kamiusagi Rope, Kamiusagi Rope 2, and Kamiusagi Rope 3. These episodes are released irregularly and serve promotional functions. Some episodes were shown at all TOHO Cinemas locations; for instance, the episode featuring Kashiwa was screened nationwide to promote the opening of the new Kashiwa TOHO Cinemas the following month. Others had limited regional screenings, such as the episode "Hissawwaza," which was exclusive to TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku to celebrate its grand opening and to tie in with the Godzilla franchise and Tokyo Metro’s new IC Touch campaign.
