Synopsis

In these jokey short films, many of them crudely animated, Kago's twisted sense of humor hits its most absurd peaks. There's a playful surrealist sensibility to his work, along with a tendency to revel in the ridiculous, the vulgar, and the unsettling. His pieces sit on a strange line between avant-garde experimentation and low-brow fart humor—one film's punchline is literally a gushing torrent of excrement—although, admittedly, his videos seem to lean a bit more heavily toward the crude gags than his comics do. But hey, who doesn't appreciate a solid fart joke now and then?
