Synopsis

In "Once Upon a Witch's Death," Meg Raspberry devotes herself to studying magic under the Eternal Witch, Faust, with the goal of one day matching her legendary renown. But on her seventeenth birthday, Faust reveals that Meg has only a single year remaining before she dies—the result of a congenital curse that will cause her to age at an accelerated rate once she turns eighteen, leading to a swift death. Faust suggests a potential solution: consuming a Seed of Life, which can be created by gathering a thousand tears of joy over the course of a year. Determined to survive, Meg sets out on this difficult quest, meeting various people with their own unique stories along the way.
