Synopsis

Continues the story of Digimon Tamers

Takato Matsuda, a ten-year-old boy, spends most of his time absorbed in the Digimon card game with his friends. One ordinary day, while browsing through a pack of cards, he discovers an unusual blue card that, when scanned with his card reader, transforms into a D-Ark Digivice. After scanning his sketches of an original Digimon he named Guilmon, the device produces a Digi-Egg, which hatches into a real Guilmon. Despite his initial excitement at having a real Digimon, Takato quickly realizes the demands of caring for Guilmon, who requires constant attention. Making matters more complicated is Ruki Makino, a rival tamer who uses her Digimon partner, Renamon, to battle and absorb the data of other Digimon to grow stronger. Takato finds support from his classmate Li Jianliang and his humorous Digimon companion Terriermon, as they team up on the path to becoming true tamers. As the number of dangerous enemies increases, Takato must deepen his bond with Guilmon to safeguard both the human world and the Digital World.

In the real world, a train Digimon known as Locomon suddenly appears. The tamers rush to prevent the train from reaching its destination, which is the portal leading to the Digital World.
